As a Senior Service Designer, you will contribute expertise to each phase of solution development with cross functional teams:
Discovery
Senior Service Designers are committed to understanding and empathizing with stakeholders and customers. If you know the right questions to ask at the right time, and uncover the deeper meaning of the answers you receive then this career may be of interest to you.
• Work with diverse project/product teams to align on project objectives and shape workplans.
• Plan and undertake research to better understand needs and relationships
• Observe and interview stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement
• Lead interviews, workshops, and design jams
• Develop key insights about by user needs
• Prepare and present research playbacks and findings
Strategy
Translating insights into recommendations is a key strength of the Senior Service Designer. Proposing changes and improvements to the existing user experience.
In this role we look for those who like to:
• Collaborate with diverse teams to brainstorm viable solutions
• Determine and refine the concepts that best address needs, anticipate future trends, and resolve potential problems
• Prepare and present the artifacts that communicate recommendations both internally and externally
• Synthesize feedback and refine strategies
Design
Senior Service Designers work with teams to rethink the way organizations get things done, designing and integrating multiple components to create a complete user experience. Assisting in co creation and leading teams so together we can:
• Leverage best practices to explore and communicate design and interaction concepts
• Use customer journey maps, service blueprints or prototypes to visualize the relationships between different service components
• Determine the best options for collector user feedback
• Synthesize and incorporate feedback to refine design and interactions
Are you a Senior Service Designer recognized as an expert in this field? Do you enjoy working with multi-functional teams and conducting special projects with a vision of the functional or unit mission. Can you influence people and organizations when issues are complex or difficult and require considerable diplomacy, often where no precedent exists? If so, we want to talk to you.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
• Experience in Service Design or organizational design
• Ability to synthesize research findings to uncover and articulate insights that will inform and inspire design
• Passion for shaping and leading strategic systems thinking based on insights gathered through research
• Actively builds Influence and relationships across functions and levels internally and externally
• Experience with stakeholder management and conflict resolution
• Experience with providing documentation and commercials during scoping activities
• Exceptional communication and storytelling skills; fluency and confidence in inspiring teammates and partners with user-driven rationale
• Ability to operate successfully in ambiguous environments leveraging creative approaches and methodologies (Agile Practices, Design Thinking, Workshops and other co creation methods)
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
