Service Designer

As a Service Designer you will be responsible for delivering service design in the Amsterdam studio in support new and existing service propositions. Within projects you will work closely with both business partners and a multi-disciplinary design team to build a deep understanding of business and user needs, generate innovative and relevant concepts and implement compelling and impactful service solutions.
Within your first assignment you will work in the Consumer Health Joint Ventures (currently maternal health & post-cardiac health but subject to change) and be responsible for all service design related activities. While mature service design expertise is required, due to the nature of a venture we look for t-shaped designers that can lean into UX, Design Research, Design Strategy and/or any associated field. Expertise in consumer and professional health is a competitive advantage. Since this venture is bridging consumer and clinical health domain, expertise in health care is certainly a bonus!
You are responsible for
Understanding people and the consumer healthcare context

You use appropriate and effective research skills to increase domain knowledge and to inform meaningful and innovative solutions.

You help to analyze required information to form a relevant understanding of context (domain, business, market, emerging contexts, related trends, target groups, etc.)
Articulate relevant and meaningful service propositions
-
You help to create surprising and relevant scenarios and concepts that explore potential experiences, based on contextual understanding.

Collaboratively develop service blueprints that integrate user needs analysis (i. e. experience flows), multiple touch points and back-end service delivery systems, processes and capabilities.

Build prototypes that communicate ideas clearly and persuasively at an individual and team level.

Collaborate with business partners, various design competences, other functions such as development, and external parties to design and deliver internal systems and processes involved in service delivery.

Collaborate with team members and suppliers via the most appropriate communication/influencing style and tools
To succeed in this role, you’ll need a customer-first attitude and the following

You have a Bachelor or Master degree in service design, interaction design, industrial design, design research, or design planning.

You have 4+ years relevant service design experience in one or more specific business domains, ideally with a experience of designing services for enterprise customers.

You are recognized for your expertise and talent in service design and for your specific competency knowledge and capability.

You are passionate about consumer health.

You have a positive, upbeat outlook with team emphasis.

You are effective, flexible, empathetic and creative.

You are outcome-focused and have an inclusive and collaborative mindset
