What will your typical day look like?
As an Experience, Product and Service Design Consultant, you will be an integral part of the team. You will work to design experiences, products and services that delight customers, students, employees and citizens, as well as deliver outstanding commercial outcomes for our clients – and have a lot of fun along the way.
You will need to:
- Work alongside our clients, often in blended teams
- Co-design new business models, products, services, experience, and operating models.
- Use Human Centred Design to keep customers, employees, citizens and students at the heart of digital transformation
- Conduct research with customers using participatory and iterative design techniques including observational studies, customer interviews, prototyping, and other forms of qualitative and quantitative research to uncover insights, learn about user behaviour and verify design concepts.
- Make concepts tangible through storytelling and rapid prototyping methods, ranging from paper sketching to digital prototyping (for example wireframes, click-throughs, interactive prototypes).
- Identify and articulate viability and feasibility assumptions, and test these with customers and stakeholders
- Contribute to a culture of creativity and innovation with a finger on the pulse of what’s new and possible.
Enough about us, let’s talk about you.
Ideally, you will have experience in consulting, ideally in a leading consulting firm, digital/ design agency or within a public sector / industry equivalent is highly desirable. Due to the nature of our clients, you will be an Australian Citizen, and hold (or be willing to obtain) the minimum of a Baseline security clearance.
Nice to have experience includes:
- Experience in working within blended teams (including with clients) across varied skillsets on large projects
- Experience in the use of human-centred design in digital transformation
- A Passion for how design can make a positive impact on how people work together and what they produce for customers
- Be inquisitive, in pursuit of patterns and paths
- A storyteller, and a story-seeker
- A lover of business – the rhythms, passions, and dynamics that make it work.
- An understanding of the power and value of great design in bringing the ideas that fuel business to life
- Comfortable with a non-linear process, comfort in ambiguity, and flexibility to adjust as things shift
- A belief in rapid experimentation and deep collaboration — to prototype thinking, turn inklings into insights and insights into possibilities, and bring stories to life in ways that move people to take action
