Service Designer

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Service Designer to work on end-to-end service design projects, from early phase proposition development to launching innovative businesses. We’re looking for a creative and proactive team member who is passionate about developing new products and services across a broad range of areas; health, small businesses and emerging freelance sectors that may include products and services in the insurance, financial management and mobility sectors.
You are a Service Designer who is confident working in a fast-paced environment and within multi-disciplinary teams. You should be a quick and curious learner who is able to build capabilities around service design and human-centred design mind-set.
You are confident in practicing Design Thinking and have the ability to move from design thinking to design doing simultaneously. You are excited about experimenting in real-life environments, along with an openness to new ways of prototyping and testing products and services; always with a goal to develop innovative solutions to problems that matter to customers.
Essential requirements:
- Deep expertise in ethnographic and immersive customer research
- At least 3 years experience in delivering end-to-end service design projects
- Strong track record of collaborating with product owners, technical teams and data scientists
- Expertise of human-centred design processes and curiosity to adopt new approaches to product and service development
- Knowledgeable about wide range of service design tools and methodologies
- Adept at guiding teams of colleagues, partners, and start-ups towards a uniting vision
- A passion for building impactful solutions and able to balance value and cost
- Have an understanding of the back-end system of a service – the processes, regulations, tools, technology and design system
- Experience running and managing field experiments from clarifying the hypothesis to set up and measuring results
- Capable of prioritising tasks when working on various projects, making intelligent and intuitive decisions when needed
- Ability to move from insights into prototypes and experiments through preferred digital tools such as Figma, Adobe XD etc.
Desirable:
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a design-related discipline
- Expertise in Adobe Design Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, etc)
- Interested in the startup world from FinTech, InsureTech to mobility as a service
- Comfortable steering internal or external design workshops
- Worked with agile methodologies and scrum teams
- Knowledge around lean-UX and start-up methods
