Service Designer

Fifth Beat
The figure of the Service Designer in Fifth Beat has the task of transforming ambitious ideas and concepts into innovative digital products and services, systematizing business needs (Client Driven) and user needs (User Driven).
You will be involved in challenging and interdisciplinary projects from the briefing phase to the grounding of the product or service you helped design. You will guide conversations with Stakeholders to understand expectations and requirements and provide specific recommendations to guide the project and facilitate decisions. You will also have the opportunity to help structure new business opportunities through presale proposals.
Translated into terms of requirements what will you do? Let’s try to make a list:
- First of all, we expect you to understand our customers’ business needs and requirements and help identify the best solutions
- You will define, in collaboration with the internal team and with the client, the strategies to be followed in the project
- You will design and facilitate workshops with the internal team and / or clients
- You will be engaged in the design of digital services and products, all using Service Design and Human Centered Innovation as your polar stars
- You will collaborate closely with our designers, developers and Project Managers involved in the project to conceive and design innovative products and services, guiding them in the directions that maximize the results obtained
- You will present the designed solutions to the internal team and customers, explaining the choices underlying specific choices
- You will ensure the quality and timeliness of the work, compliance with the estimates shared with the client and the team
- You will contribute to the development and maintenance of the best practices and methodologies of the entire Fifth Beat team with a particular focus on Service Design, Design Thinking and Human Centered Innovation
- Oh one last thing … We are looking for a person who wants to keep up to date on the latest developments in technologies, market and digital trends
Some requirements:
As you have read, it is a multi-faceted role, which is why we are looking for a person with management experience in complex projects, not just digital, and with a real passion for people and the following requirements:
- Master’s degree;
- Previous experience in Service Design (at least 3 years);
- Ability to work and communicate clearly and securely with customers and stakeholders, including seniors
- Ability to formulate a strategic vision for the products and services you deal with and to clearly justify the rationale for your choices
- Ability to receive and process feedback (both from the client and from your team) and transform them into clear action points
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Result orientation;
- Ability to intercept team problems and solve them;
- Proactivity;
- Willingness to travel;
- Attitude for continuous improvement;
- Knowledge of frameworks such as Scrum, Lean and Agile and previous application experience
- Excellent command of the main IT supports;
- Excellent knowledge of English.
We do not ask that you necessarily have a certification on Agile or Lean frameworks but it is essential to know Scrum, Kanban, Impact Mapping and in general a smattering of topics related to the User Experience in order to be influential towards all the other people in the team.
