Senior Service Designer

We are looking for service designers who will shape current and future digital solutions and work processes within the power system, ensure that we are best in class in user-friendly professional systems, and work effectively to find and solve the right problems.
We are organized into product areas and product teams, and you will play a key role in strategy implementation by working from needs to specific strategic measures, in close collaboration with the business area.
The area that needs designers works towards the management of the power system, and towards the power market and development projects with many stakeholders. It is therefore an advantage if you have experience with systemic design, but it is not a prerequisite. The most important thing is that you enjoy complex challenges, are good at collaborating, and use the subject and methodology holistically to find the best possible solutions.
Our design section is new, and you should have a desire to help build the subject and understanding of design internally.
Statnett employs everyone from operators at the exchanges to analysts and construction managers, and you will have access to many different user groups in the work of developing or improving digital services or work processes.
Job duties
- Work both strategically and operationally with the development of services, based on the people who will use them and strategic goals
- Ensure that the area is working to solve the right problems
- Mapping such as gigamapping and rich imagery, and other insight work
- Visualize user journeys, goal images, problem areas and opportunities
- Measuring the value of work
- Communicating insights and conceptualization
- Facilitate strategy processes and interdisciplinary workshops
- Contribute to increasing understanding and engagement with design through training, lectures, articles and more
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience as a designer, preferably in service design or systemic design
- Higher education
- Very good facilitator and has experience in leading design processes
- Very good experience with user-centered design methodology
- Good business understanding, and sees the connection between organization, people and technology
- Experience with professional systems
- Good at visualizing and communicating complex issues
- Experience from multidisciplinary teams, preferably in larger organizations

- Interest in or desire to learn about the power industry
- Curious, and sees solutions and opportunities where others see problems
- Enjoys working with complex issues
- Enjoys working with others, both other designers and subject matter experts
- Good at building relationships with users
- Appreciates humor and height
