Senior Service Designer

Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI)
We’re looking for a Senior Service Designer who wants to get involved in projects that make a real difference to food businesses and exporters across the food system.
In this role you will use your experience and expertise to ensure design thinking is integrated into New Zealand Food Safety’s projects. You will be an advocate for good design outcomes and support a variety of projects throughout the business, ensuring activities are produced and delivered to the highest quality. You will apply your service design expertise to shape insights and work through complex problem solving to create clear concepts and ways forward. You will co-design these concepts in line with business goals and bring multi-disciplinary project teams on the journey.
Other key aspects of this role will be leading, developing and mentoring people, as well as strengthening systems and processes. We are looking for an adaptive, strong, supportive person who is inclusive and a clear communicator who can operate within a multi-disciplinary team. You could come from various backgrounds, but what is important is your ability to think and work strategically and be able to translate technical jargon into easily understood information.
Mōu – About You
As an experienced service designer, you will bring:
- Proven experience of delivering service design projects of various sizes and methodologies to quality, time, and budget constraints.
