Service Designer

JAKALA
Position
We are looking for a Service Designer to join Maize through an internship in Milan or Roncade (TV). We are looking for a resource with the ambition to create services and experiences that produce a positive impact for the user and their context, that are sustainable for the business but also for the planet.
Maize is the group’s business line specialized in business innovation and strategic design. We work on projects designed to help our clients develop and spread a culture of innovation. The companies that contact us are looking for a way to bring a strategy and a vision of innovation into their world. How do we support them? By bringing a different perspective on how to evolve services or products, or by supporting their employees in acquiring new skills or methodologies, or by introducing new work tools or improving the approach to internal communication.
What do we do?
We help companies identify innovation opportunities inside and outside the organization. We do this by analyzing the signals of change that influence the future of brands and consumers, identifying new market opportunities and guiding the evolution of corporate organizational models, and designing new products and services or creating engaging brand experiences.
You are perfect for this position if:
- You have a passion for the different facets of design, and a predilection for service design and strategic design.
- You are comfortable with complexity, and can connect different types of information and perspectives.
- You believe that solving complex challenges requires a convergence of skills and points of view.
- You are a young and eclectic profile, ready to interact with multidisciplinary teams, enhancing their different skills, creating connections and synergies between disciplines.
- You are able to understand the reference context and design services, experiences and processes aimed at the final consumer or the various figures within the organization.
Requirements
- Familiarity with different user research and testing techniques
- Autonomy in carrying out desk research (benchmarking, analysis of existing services and products)
- Familiarity with creating insight reports and ability to share research findings within the project team
- Ability to map pain points and opportunities within customer journeys
- Familiarity with translating research insights into product or service concepts, and informing the design of physical and digital touchpoints
- Knowledge and ability to apply co-design tools and techniques
- Knowledge of the main tools for prototyping services and experiences (storyboard, service blueprint, high-level wireframing, …)
- Excellent knowledge of the English language
Complete the profile
- Familiarity with ESG issues, in particular accessibility and circular service design
- Curiosity towards the development of new experiences and services enabled by generative AI
- Strong curiosity and propensity to explore new horizons
