About the Service NSW Website team
The service.nsw.gov.au website services around 7 million visits every month and is a 24/7 digital touchpoint for citizens and businesses to transact with and access support from the NSW Government.
Our website team is passionate about delivering a positive customer service experience and ensuring our Drupal CMS can help us achieve this.
We have a well-established, agile product team that brings together talented, web-focused content designers, UI/UX designers and engineers, who work collaboratively to ensure a seamless and optimised customer experience.
Our content design discipline
The Service NSW website has set the standard for content design across Service NSW digital products and our team of content designers takes pride in delivering high quality customer-centric experiences.
As a Senior Content Designer, you’ll:
- contribute your extensive experience in content design, digital writing and publishing to help customers access the services and support they need
- use your stakeholder and project management skills to ensure content meets our editorial guidelines and is delivered to deadline
- distill complex technical and policy information into content that can be easily understood by a broad audience
- write, edit and publish plain English digital content using our Drupal CMS
- analyse feedback, research insights and data to inform content decision making
- work independently to deliver on multiple projects with competing priorities
- collaborate with and support mid-level designers to maintain best practice and a high standard of quality in our content
- contribute to the ongoing development of editorial standards and enhancement of our Drupal CMS.
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
- extensive experience in content design, and writing and publishing digital content for a complex government or corporate website using a content management system
- a proven track record in managing digital content design and digital publishing projects
- demonstrated experience in applying user-centred design principles to content problems
- an excellent grasp of the English language, including grammar and spelling
- exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work with a GEL and apply an editorial style guide
- strong understanding of SEO, analytics, web accessibility and usability
- strong communication and negotiation skills.
