What will your day look like?
To start with, you will support other designers and team members on an initiative that will deliver a new service experience to third parties we work with, such as wealth managers, financial advisors and stockbrokers. You apply a growth mindset and willingness to be involved in research and design activities with users and internal stakeholders, where you may have to take on tasks around planning, presenting and collaborating, with supervision from senior designers in the team
This role will be part of the Strategic and Service Design function, supporting high-value initiatives and priorities of the Australia Retail division.
What will you bring?
To thrive and succeed in this role, you must possess the following skills, knowledge, and experience:
- 1-3 years of service design experience, encompassing both digital and non-digital domains.
- A background in collaborating with or working alongside design chapter/project leads and other design disciplines such as UX, UI, Business, or Organisation Design.
- Proficient in cross-functional environments, enjoying collaboration with various stakeholders, including business leaders, change managers, product managers, data analysts, process engineers, and business architects.
- An interest in applying design throughout strategy, discovery, and delivery processes.
- Commercial and business acumen, with the ability to connect design and business outcomes, adopting a results-driven approach.
- Excellent communication skills and executive presence.
- Strong storytelling abilities, effectively delivering clear, concise, and articulate messages.
- Confidence in researching and mapping existing services with a customer lens, as well as identifying and ideating potential experience improvements with guidance.
- Ability to plan, run and synthesise customer findings of the proposed experience with guidance.
- Supporting teams in applying a design-led approach to solution development, fostering growth in others’ skills and cultivating an energetic and vibrant team culture.
- A growth mindset, resilient nature, and the ability to cope with and provide guidance through change and uncertainty.
